The Positive Business Project (PBP) is an annual student and industry initiative presented by the UPO aimed at identifying, studying, celebrating, and spreading positive business in organisations of all types.

  1. Has your organisation created positive change?
  2. Does your organisation create meaningful jobs and value for all stakeholders?
  3. Does your organisation bring out the best in its people in terms of their performance and their humanity?
  4. Has your organisation been a great neighbour to the community and environment?
  5. Does your organisation address important societal and environmental issues, needs, and opportunities?
  6. Does your organisation take steps to enhance ethical stewardship?
  7. Has your organisation established a positive relationship with trade unions?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then we invite your organisation to participate in the 2018 Positive Business Project!

Each year, submissions to the PBP are reviewed by a panel of Nelson Mandela University and University of Michigan academics, and business leaders affiliated with the Unit for Positive Organisations. Outstanding submissions are recognised at the annual Positive Business Conference, held in early April at Nelson Mandela University.

The PBP helps to grow an impressive network of individuals and organisations committed to positive business, generating more awareness of the field and connecting those who practice it every day.  Winners of the PBP are able to connect each year at the Positive Business Conference to support, and continue to grow this community.
